In the long run, the amount of money you earn is a scorecard for the impact and value that you provide to society. You have got to have money in your mind, but impact drives income; not the other way around.
“You have to get out there and have more impact and influence; that’s when the income starts coming in. You get paid for bringing value to a marketplace and if you’re not very valuable, you don’t make much money. You’re going to be paid exactly what you’re worth or what you expect you’re worthy of. You have to figure out how to help people. If you focus on impact and influence instead of income, it causes you to be more valuable.
